She’s here
Shocking us all by being a girl (we were all convinced I was having a boy), Charlie Poe made her appearance via emergency c-section. I noticed Tuesday night that I hadn’t felt her move. Came to labor and delivery and nonstress test was not reassuring. Her heart rate didn’t show any accelerations. They set me up for a contraction stress test which after one contraction, her heart rate decreased. Doctor was concerned so she said we needed to go for csection. Turns out her legs had been wrapped by the umbilical cord and this was causing issues with her not getting enough supply. As a result of being stressed, she passed meconium in utero. Luckily she had no complications from this and is doing so well!
Charlie Poe. 3/13/19. 2:03am. 7 lbs 5 Oz. 20” long.
