Advice

So my husband just recently moved in with me and I’ve been making all the purchases for the apartment, paying all the bills, etc until he was comfortable with his money. I haven’t spoiled myself or bought myself anything in the past 5 months and my birthday is coming up. So I decided to spoil myself and get a new phone, so my husband was fine and everything before wi left but when I got back he seemed a bit off and attitude-ish trying to go thru my phone. I got the phone he been wanting for a long time but keep making excuses for not getting it mainly because he don’t have good funds rn. What did I do wrong?
