Childish adult sister
Ok. I need to vent.
So this morning I called my mom on my way to work(like I do every morning). She said she was taking my sister(who is 26) to the ER because she had a pain in her right side. But I could hear my sister in the background. She was happy and singing and commenting on cute dogs she saw passing by. In my opinion not an ER need, regular doctor or urgent care would be fine. My mom is the one who will be paying the fat ER copay bill, not my sister. So that’s the 1st thing that pissed me off.
Once they left I called my mom and asked what happened. She said doctors said it was likely gastroenteritis or IBS
Me: “so does that mean your going to get on a healthier diet and cut out a lot of the grease and junk foods?”
Sister: “yeah, if somebody comes up with a plan for me.”
Me: “why would it be somebody else’s responsibility to tell you what to eat. You should come up with that for yourself.”
Mom(trying to keep peace): “well the doctors gave me like 10 pages of reading. They said cutting out a lot of carbs will help.”
Me: “and dairy. That tends to be really hard on the stomach.”
Sister: “but I like dairy”
Me: “but it’s harder to digest. So if you have a salad or something opt for a non-dairy dressing rather Han ranch”
Sister: “but I like ranch on my salad, I don’t like vinaigrettes”
Me: “they make non dairy ranch though”
Sister “but I don’t want it. I want regular ranch.”
WTF! #1 why would it be somebody else’s responsibility to come up with a diet plan for you to follow. You are responsible for your own health and need to figure out what you can and can’t eat
#2 I’m sitting here giving you ideas of changes to make-because you requested somebody else do all the work-and you are shooting them all down!
Fuck off asshole
