How was labor with your second compared to your first?

With my son (first baby) my water broke at 2:30am and he was born at 4:18am. Totally fine by me! But we have since moved, and the hospital is an hour away. Well over that with traffic. I'm in my 2nd trimester with baby #2, and am already super anxious when thinking about making it there in time. My OB suggested we stay in a hotel the last month of my pregnancy, but we definitely can't afford that. Is it true that the second is generally faster? Any helpful tips to reduce my anxiety about it would be appreciated. ♡

My first came early, quickly, and easily. With my second, we moved and are about 3.5 hours to the hospital. So my OB induced me a week early to make sure I was at a hospital. Which was good because I got the cervix softening gel, then a membrane sweep and baby was born a couple hours later. Will plan to do the same with my third.

I'm still waiting to find out. First one was around 3 hours from first contraction to birth,  if the second one is shorter I would be glad.

What were you doing during the first pregnancy to labor so quickly!?

I was 35 hours followed by 19 hours.  Praying this one goes considerably faster.
