Sids???

My daughter is 3 months, I'm a second mother i also worried about this with my 1st daughter but what is the risk of sids? I'm so afraid to sleep at night cause i like watching her sleep so i know shes fine!!!:/ she sleeps on her back with nothing in her bed just her and no blanket at all!:/ i worry about this so much its getting so ridiculous

Literally just saw an ad on Facebook for something called the Owlet Smart Sock. It’s a sock you put on the baby’s foot, and it tracks their heart rate and oxygen levels. It has pre-set levels, so if your baby’s levels go outside of that range then it alerts you on an app right away. It also has a docking station that will alert you as well. Genius!!

I got a breathing monitor and it helped me with my anxiety and being able to sleep better. It doesn’t do much to prevent sids or anything from happening but helped me know that if something did happen it would alert me.

They call it sudden infant death syndrome but in reality most the time there is a reason, like for example something being in the bed to cause suffocation. As long as you have her bed set up properly you’ll be absolutely fine and have nothing to worry about

To avoid sids, make sure Baby sleeps flat on her back with no pillows, stuffed animals, or anything that can disrupt her breathing. If you're really worried about it, they make Halo sleep sacks you can buy almost anywhere. They're designed to make sure Baby is safe when they sleep and it keeps them warm and feeling safe without a blanket. Second hand smoke is also a cause of sids. Make sure there is no smoking around you or Baby. Also, when people smoke the chemicals cling to their skin and clothes and if they are close or holding Baby it can cause problems if she breathes it in.
