What does Braxton Hicks feel like?

I am a FTM 34 weeks pregnant and my doctor asked me if I’ve been having any Braxton Hicks contractions and I told him no because I literally have no clue what I would even be feeling if I was having one. Can you describe the feeling or is it just something you have to feel and know?!

Mine are random and infrequent. It feels like I’m spontaneously flexing my abs.

My belly would just get rock hard. It almost looked liked the baby was pressing against my belly. They came in waves, and they were more frequent at night. Every couple minutes I’d get one. They were so annoying.

I never knew I was having them with my first. No pain, just tightening all over.

It literally took me being hooked up to a machine tracking my contractions for me to finally understand what a Braxton hick is 😂.
So for me my Braxton hicks feel like the baby is just pushing out and causing my stomach to feel tight. 
Braxton hicks should feel like your stomach tightening, they dont typically hurt.
