Is it too late for my Attempt to Breastfeed?

My baby will be 8 weeks on Friday, even up until last week I was still able get some milk drops out.(Hand Expressing) 
It's been same amount for weeks. BARELY NOTHING.. I've been taking herbs to Increase my Milk Supply. 
Today my Cycle started...
Is it too late for me to continue to try to build my supply back up?? 
Or, should I just consider facing the facts that I wasn't able to Breastfeed??

The best way to increase supply is to put baby on the breast as often as possible. If baby has only been having bottles for the last 8 weeks though there may be some nipple confusion and baby might need to be taught how to latch properly.

It won’t hurt to try. Just know that when your period returns that your supply can decrease due to a decrease of calcium and magnesium in your body. The only surefire way you can really get your supply back is to nurse and/or pump very frequently. Keep hydrated and drink lots of water as well.

They say the first 12 weeks or so is important to put baby on breast as much as you can !
