Formula supplementation question

Taylor

I plan on breastfeeding and pumping but I am wondering what kind of effect using formula at bedtime would cause. With my first daughter I was only able to breastfeed two months before I couldn’t anymore due to latch issues but I still pumped as much as I could. She was fully formula fed by 3-4 months so I know that formula tends to keep babies full longer.

I will have a 23 month old when I have my newborn this time and want bedtimes to stay as smooth as possible.

So what if I did a formula bottle only for bedtime and if I could get up and pump in order to build supply? (which I also want to do) I want a good supply to bottle feed breastmilk. Would this theoretically kill two birds with one stone perhaps? Not looking for judgement on formula use. I know it’s not ideal but as I said I’m planning to only supplement with it this time.
