Going to prom alone💃🏽

I go to an online school, GCA, and they're having a prom for seniors next month! Which would be great but I realized I'd be going to a place full of people I don't know all by myself☹. I don't have any friends, or boyfriends, not even a close acquaintance I could ask to go with me! I already asked two of my cousins but they'll be out of town that week. I'm just wondering if I should even go because of how shy and awkward I am. I don't want to spend all the money just to end up in a corner all night 🤦🏽 So I guess I wanted to ask if anyone had any tips I could use that would make it easier to approach people without overthinking (cause that's what I do best). My mother says I look mean and stuck up. But that's just the way my face is 😂(my eyebrows are naturally raised kinda high so I guess that's why?)
