I’m agnostic and my husband is atheist. I want my child to decide on his own so when the time comes and he asks about it we will have a discussion about it and if he decides we wants to learn more and go to church I’ll be more than happy to take him to feed his curiosity.

Yes, to an extent. I am Catholic but I don't follow everything. I believe in God and prayer but I don't believe in everything the Catholic Church says. I will raise my kids to know about God but I will also allow them to decide what they want to believe in. My children are baptized and will make their first communion but after that I will leave it up to them. If they don't want to continue then fine. My husband is a nonpracticing Catholic. I don't care to force him into anything he doesn't want to.

I was forced to go to church growing up. They were very particular on how things should be, how you should dress, how you should act, etc. I believe in God & what he does but I no longer go to church with that being said, I will teach my daughter about God but if she decides not to believe or wants to have her own views, that will be entirely up to her.

My husband and I were raised in the Christian church and we both feel like there was a lot of damaging teachings, but also some really good things. We both are still Christian but go to a much more liberal and progressive church than we both grew up with. We will raise our son with religion, but we will be extremely intentional, esp when he’s little, about what we choose and avoiding all the scare tactics. 
We also both believe in science, logic, and facts. We hope to raise a kind, loving child who loves others, the earth, and who will grow up to make his own decisions. 
But every family has to choose what’s best for them!

Another commenter said it perfectly. Religion is brainwashing to me. I'm all for educating her on various religions and if she wants to choose a religion when she gets older then she's more than welcome to. But I'm not brainwashing my child and filling her brain with such ridiculous crap. She'll be taught science and facts.

I’m very religious and go to church every Sunday. However my husband is not. I take the baby with me to church because my husband isn’t comfortable on his own with him yet (he’s a HUGE mommas baby) and we breastfeed. I’m a SAHM so I will be teaching my son my religion and raising him in our church. My husband is supportive of this but we are going to let our son decide for himself before he is baptized into any church or religion.

My husband is a believer but I'm not.. if he ever wants to take her to church or anything like that, more power to him, but I don't feel the need to instill that fear into a child. It'll be completely up to her as to whether or not she believes these things.

I’m not religious bc I wasn’t raised with it. But at the same time, I think kids sometimes can also pick to be religious even if they aren’t. My sister is 9 and out of random asked to be read parts of the Bible when she was about 4
