Trust Issues with Boyfriend Lying

Hey guys, so I’ve been struggling lately. I have issues with trust and honesty is a huge deal for me, and recently my boyfriend has broken my trust.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a while, and have been friends for longer. We talked about our previous partners and sex history when we became friends, before we even started dating.

But recently he told me that he hasn’t been completely honest with me, and told me about previous people he had hooked up with and never told me about.

For example, he told me about how he and a previous girlfriend he had only went to third base. And that he had a FWB situation last year, that was also just third base. I was under the impression that that was it.

He also told me that I was his first.

But last month he was honest with me and told me that there were a few other girls between the FWB situation and me where he had hook ups and just got blowjobs from some girls.

And that when he was in high school, there was a guy he roomed with who he messed around with; they got each other off and e said they tried anal sex.

(Note: both of us are openly bisexual. when we were just friends, he blatantly told me that he had never sucked a dick before, I didn’t even ask him about it in the first place. he just told me that one day)

I don’t know what to do. I really care about him and I want to work us out, but I’m really hurt. I don’t care about who he’s hooked up with, and I’ve told him that. I care that he lied to me, and I care that that’s what he lied to me about. That he let me sleep with him believing that I was his first and that I knew everything.

He says he didn’t want me to think that he was just looking for another hookup

He knew everything there was about my history. I just thought I did, too

My heart hurts.

I don’t know what I’m wanting to get out of posting. I just needed to vent and talk about it. What should I do? I’m trying so hard to not be mad at and upset with him, but I’m hurt. I don’t know what to do
