Childcare help

Jessica

I currently have a 2 year old in daycare and I’m extremely annoyed with them at the moment.

We think she has a food allergy or at the very least a sensitivity and while we wait for an appointment at the allergist, I’ve asked that they not give that food to her. Well, within a week of me asking, they put in our online report that she had that food for breakfast!

We’ve also have asked CONSTANTLY not to give my daughter juice with snack and almost every single day she has juice instead of water.

This combined with the high tuition rates has me considering a nanny instead.

I’ll have an infant that will be about 12ish weeks

A 2.5 year old who will go to preschool Mon-Friday each week

I work from home 80% of the time but on the days I’m not home, I typically leave earlier then usual for travel time.

So my questions are:

How did you determine how to pay your Nanny? (Hourly, set rate)

How much do you pay your nanny?

What do you in cases where your Nanny is sick?
