Could I have ovulated early? When can I take a test?

I started bleeding light to medium yesterday. And today I am still bleeding and it’s medium. Not filling a pad but definitely not spotting. Has anyone ever experienced this and found out they were pregnant? When did you test? I’m also having cramps. Not as bad as period cramps but mild. What could this be? Could I have ovulated a little after my period?

Side note: I have never had spotting or anything type of bleeding in between periods ever. So this is very unusual for me.
