I miscarried at the end of February of this year and now 8 weeks pregnant, and I’m so scared of losing this one that can’t let myself feel anything and it’s killing me

It’s been tough. We lost our baby in Oct and got pregnant again at the end of Jan. I’m currently 15 weeks - all of my appointments have been great, but I’m still fearful in between. My head is telling me it’s okay to bond, but my heart has some major walls up. It’s been a slow process.

Currently 23 weeks pregnant here. I suffered an ectopic pregnancy last year in June and I was mortified I was going to lose this baby too. For me the stress would ease after every ultrasound but I found it took for me to feel movements before the stress eased up. Your docs should help with any concerns you have and maybe even do a few extra tests to help ease your mind. The maternity ward at the hospital I have been attending for both pregnancies has been my greatest resource! I can call them anytime with any concern and they're happy to chat and ease my mind. The midwives have been lifesavers! Hopefully you'll have the same amount of support available to you, especially so due to your history. Congratulations and good luck! 🤰🏻👶🏻🌈

I miscarried at seven weeks and got pregnant again three months later. I was terrified of having a miscarriage, I couldn’t bond at all. I wouldn’t let myself. Around 15 weeks I started to feel better about having a miscarriage and started bonding with my baby. Then around twenty two weeks i began freaking out about the possibility of my baby being stillborn. But I got through it, prayed for the best and my wonderful daughter is now seven months old. But in all honesty that worry never goes away. It might even get worse after your baby arrives. Having a baby is terrifying but worth it. It’ll get better. I really hope you have a smooth pregnancy and delivery!! Let yourself bond. Anything could happen, so make your baby feel loved and enjoy every minute. No matter what that’s your beautiful baby and you’ll hold them in your arms someday.

I was like that for the entire first trimester. Then after a lot of prayer & just realizing that every day carrying this baby is a gift, I started to be able to relax & connect. I’m savoring all the kicks now- even when they wake me at 6am & I find pregnancy irritating. I try to remember that this little, growing life is a gift. Lord willing, we’ll both meet our babes face to face. But even if I don’t, I’m trying to make the most of it now & remember not to take this pregnancy for granted. One day at a time.

I miscarried in December and I haven’t been able to bring myself to try again yet! I’m scared to be pregnant again, and I already know that when I am, I’m going to have some hesitancy connecting to the pregnancy and being excited.

Struggling with the same thing. Lost one a few months ago, and here we are again. Ultrasound is May 13, and, while I want to see, I’m terrified out of my head. What if I see and fall in love and lose? Again. And I’m still in shock anyway. I don’t know how to feel much of anything right now. It just changes moment by moment.
