So... my question is... my boyfriend and I have been talking about marriage. I used to feel like he should be asking my father for permission, blessing, what have you... you know traditional. Problem is, I am not like on good terms with my parents. Things are civil, fake it till you make it kind of stuff... so I feel different about whether he asks or not. My family doesn’t like him and he doesn’t like them from past issues... nothing serious though! Just it is what it is. We are really happy together and have grown so much together... and for us to talk about finally settling down is huge and I am pretty excited! So... I guess... Should he still ask despite where we sit with them? For the record they moved away as well so... yeah... what do you all think?!??
