TMI I know, but I’ve got a pretty big boil or abscess that came out of nowhere today. It is red and doesn’t have a head but seems to be fluid filled.... The only “urgent cares” in my area are not to be trusted due to past experiences of them advising me to take medication that is not safe while pregnant. I don’t have a general practitioner... I’m 29 weeks and I don’t think my OB would handle lancing or draining this... should I go to the ER or just apply antibiotic ointment and keep it clean and dry to see if it will pop or go away!? I know the risk of infection is not to play with during pregnancy and I’m worried.
