Which house would you buy? *read descriptions*

A little on us: Married couple. No children. We work 3 12hr days, 4 days off a week (almost always pull 4 day weeks for that extra overtime). 2 dogs. A lot of free time. (Basically saying this cuz we would have allllll the time to dedicate to renovating a house)

House A: built in 1960. 2300 sq ft. 4bd 2br (technically 5 rooms but basement room doesn’t have windows so it doesn’t officially count). Large yard. 2car garage. House is wide so neighbors are not super close. Corner property. Large front yard. A bit outdated but move in ready. Needs cosmetic updates only. $184k and would be a GREAT investment. Already planning out what updates we could do on our long weekends.

House B: built in 1930s but completely updated in 2011. 5bd 2br 1600sq ft. Detached 1 car garage. No noticeable updates needed. Move in ready. Yard about half the size of House A. House is more compact so neighbors are a lot closer. Going for $190k. A bit more expensive but its move in ready. Would not be as big as a future investment since there is not much that can be done to it.

Leaning towards House A but want to see what other people would choose. Just for fun.

House A screams INVESTMENT! House B screams JUST MOVE IN AND RELAX! 😂
