I love to let others talk and talk about them but i hate when I can’t say one thing in one conversation (it gets ignored) when I always make it about you. 😔

It's so hard not to talk about yourself!! I've gotten better about it though esp when meeting new peeps

I feel like a good conversation is an equal amount of back and forth - about anything. My only exception is when someone comes to me with a problem they are having - I feel it’s rude to make that about me or even both of us, unless it’s advise on how I overcame said problem (very briefly explain my side, then go back to if that is relatable to the convo or not/if it helped at all). It’s not fair to be forced to constantly listen to someone drone on and on about their own selves all the time, though. 🤷🏻‍♀️
