Anyone not drive? Do you feel insecure about it at times?

I don’t drive but I need to. I’m 26. But anxiety stops me every time. Im more worried about how I will react to other drivers on the road. It’s making me feel less than and I hate this feeling

I didn’t get my license until I was 21. I was deathly afraid of it. It took actually going to an adult driving lessons course to actual get over my fear. Totally worth it

Sometimes. I have a license but get nervous sometimes bc I didn’t get taught from an actual instructor. I plan to take a class or two to brush up and give me the confidence I need.

i’m 19 and don’t drive. i’m so scared and i get nightmares about driving sometimes. awful anxiety. i feel bad asking for rides but i mostly use Lyft and i spend maybe $150 a month on it (i can walk to my job so that’s mostly going to/from my boyfriends house, dates, friends concerts social stuff). i figure that’s probably about the same i’d spend on gas insurance etc so it doesn’t worry me too much. i do really wish i had the freedom that comes with driving & a car though :/

I used to have this problem and the only way I was able to overcome it was to just do it. After a while, I got used to it. I believe you can do it, too!

I got in a really bad car accident at 10 years old and was several months in the hospital. For years after that I had panic attacks whenever I got in a car. I started driver’s ed at 16 but failed 4 times because I was too nervous. I got my licence maaybe a year later. So, not too unusual but I definitely worked hard for it.
