Is this dandruff??

Question

When i scratch my head there’s always white stuff under my nails? You can’t really see it in my hair i guess it’s just on my scalp and only comes up when i scratch it? Does anyone know what it is? How to stop it? My hair isn’t dirty when it happens either.

It could be dandruff or it could be shampoo you may not have rinsed out good

I had the same thing and an extremely itchy scalp. Mine was a buildup from oils and from dryness and I also believe my ph balance was off. Washing didn't help. I washed every other day and it was the same. 
I finally decided to detox my scalp. I didn't wash with shampoo for 2 weeks. I know, it was gross. I washed with hot water only. Then after that I found a very gentle shampoo that doesn't strip oils and it's ph balanced. It took my scalp months to heal but it was worth it. My hair and scalp are the healthiest its ever been in my life. I've now started using castor oil on my hair and scalp. The night before I wash my hair (which is only once or twice a week) I put castor oil all over and I rub it into my scalp. Next day I wash it. Castor oil is amazing! I've also heard rinsing with apple cider vinegar helps your ph balance. I've never tried that though. But anyway it's going to take time to figure out exactly what your scalp needs but you can heal it.
