Can she not have ANY milk until one year?

Tatyana

My daughter is 11 months old and it’s 50-50 solids and breast milk. I can’t really tell how much milk she’s getting because she’s taking the milk directly from me but she eats three solid meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) with snacks in between. She’ll nurse an hour to an hour and a half before I give her solids and then I allow her to nurse after to “wash” down her food with. My question is, when can I start to slowly wean her to whole milk? Can I start giving her an once or two a day a few days a week until we make the full switch at a year? Or do we have to wait until she is one year to slowly introduce milk? She eats cheese and milk based products (baby yogurt) throughout the day and doesn’t have a problem with it. I’m just super nervous about how my breast will handle weaning her at a year and would like to give her as much time as possible to get used to drinking from a cup instead of nursing. Any suggestions would be great. Please no rude comments.
