Dogs and babies

Before you get mad and comment on this, I always bring my baby with me. I’m just wondering if I could do it another way.

So I have a 4 month old baby and a dog. My husband works days so I have to take the dog out by myself. I live in a apartment complex. When I let my dog out I have to put my son in a carrier and walk my dog on a leash, which is very difficult when I have to pick up her poop or get her to stop growling at other dogs and neighbors.

So my question is, I have a video monitor. I was wondering if it’s okay to leave my baby in the house(if he’s sleeping) with the monitor on him and lock the door and let the dog out. I’m only gone for maybe 5 minutes or less. The place I let her out is right outside our door.

Please no mean comments. I’m just trying to think of an easier way.
