Common sense is dead! Rant!
Sorry, but how stupid can some people be?
DH and I attended our final prenatal class last Tuesday night at our local hospital. Well, in walks one of the other couples and the dad-to-be is visibly sicker than a dog! He spent the next 2.5hrs (apart from the 15 minute L&D floor tour which he bowed out of because he wasn't feeling well) coughing, hacking and sneezing in our small conference room surrounded by 7 other expectant couples. I mean...Who does that? Stay at home or take the class the following week (it was being offered again at that time). Why are you putting all of these people, including 8 pregnant women, at risk?
So surprise, surprise my DH is sick now. He is immune-compromised due to a childhood illness so any bronchial cold easily morphs in to a much more serious illness. Our GP retired in August and we are on a waiting list for a new Dr. I'm just hoping this doesn't turn in to something requiring medication or hospitalization.
And as much as I want to take care of him, I'm 33 weeks along and the last thing I need or want is to get sick too!
I am just so worried now not only for his health but for mine and baby's as well. Praying sleep and fluids is enough to fight this off.
I just can't believe that this guy didn't stay home when he was that sick! Ugh!!!
