Anorexia Recovery

Sylvia

I don’t really share my story... Actually I don’t think I ever shared it before! But here it is... From 5th grade to 7th grade I got chunky! I got made fun of a lot and in the summer of 7th grade I decided I’m gonna do something about it! I think I was around 120-130 (I don’t know because I didn’t care and I never weighed myself) I started dieting I would skip breakfast eat granola and yogurt for lunch and have a small dinner and sometimes I would have dessert! That still seems like a lot but I was used to a lot more calories then that! Doing this I lost a lot of weight I went from 120-130 to around 82 pounds! I lost a lot of weight and my school was concerned about me I lost a lot of hair and it got super thin, I stopped growing, I became super dizzy all the time, and not to mention I never got my period! Once I started realizing this is hurting my health I began not not be as strict and I stopped dieting! Fast forward I am now around 123- 125lbs and in 11 grade! My hair is still growing in thicker and I got my period in 10th grade finally (10 days before turning 16) and I even grew a lot! Anorexia is a serious thing and I’m so thankful I recovered! If anyone is going through anything like this just remember you can change this unhealthy habit and get help!❤️

5th grade (The biggest I’ve ever been)

8th grade you can see I’m super thin and not as tall or big as my other friends. I was 80lbs here.

Me now (this was just taken In May for prom)! I still struggle but I’m healthy and happy!
