Would you be mad?

My son’s daily sheet from daycare said this today. Nobody talked to me or further explained, I just noticed it as I was cleaning out his lunch box. He’s 2.5....am I wrong for finding this a bit inappropriate to write on here without talking with me about what happened

No? They write it on there to let you know how he was that day and if you have questions you’d call and ask

How is it inappropriate to write what happen that day? Would you rather they lie about it?

Do you pick him up from the same teachers you drop him off with? I used to work in day care on the evening crew and the morning teachers would write the day slips and then run out without telling us anything. It’s possible that the person you picked him up from had no idea it was even written there. 
Even so, no. I wouldn’t be mad. I would ask what happened tomorrow but I think it’s pretty self explanatory.

I don’t think it’s inappropriate that his behavior was written down. It was a part of the day he had and what his teacher observed. However, if I was his teacher I would have spoken with you about it and how we handled it so you weren’t surprised to see it on his sheet. Tomorrow I would pull his teacher aside and kindly ask about it, but I don’t think it’s something to be mad about.

I would have personally want to be talked to about what happened, but also I have worked in child care and they honestly probably just forgot by the end of the day and didn’t purposely hold information from you! I’m sure if you just ask what was going on, they would be happy to talk to you and realize they forgot to talk to you about it! ♥️

I work at a daycare and this is why we like to give the paper to parents when they come for pick up. So they can ask any questions they have.. I always look at my sons before leaving or ask if they try not to hand me the paper lol.

I would say to start getting into the habit of asking how his day was. When I pick up my son from school I always ask how his day was. As per the note, I don't see anything inappropriate with it.
