Help me

Everything was going smoothly. He made it clear he was falling for me and he said we were unofficially dating. One night out of nowhere he called me crying saying he cant do it anymore because i was distracting him from his study. We talked about it and he was struggling alot with the amount of pressure he put on himself. We talked it out and he realised that he was wrong and he needed me. 3 days later he did the same thing, but he was dead set. We saw eachother in person, just during breaks but it was really rushed. Hes been saying he still likes me but is asking me to wait until his exams are done. Im finding it rly hard becauae i was falling for him too but now his more blunt and doesnt talk to me as much. He started showing interest in doing sexual things with me but then canceled last minute saying he cant do it after leaving me like that. It was really hurting me seeing his name and not getting any effort to keep me in his life, so i unadded him ( i talk to him on snapchat) . 12 hours passed and he sent me a text saying “u didnt have to unadd me” i dont kmow what to say or do, i want him back but i feel like im getting nowhere
