Am I neglecting my son by going back to school and getting a job I am a new single mother as of two weeks ago and. My ex said that I will be neglecting him by doing this even tho it is to better his life and mine. Am I wrong should I just say fuck school and just get a job and not worry about school. I dropped out so I didn't get my diploma or nothing so I have to work minimum wage 🤷‍♀️. I still live with my parents and I want us to have are own place and him have a good life. Would I be neglecting him if I did both my mom said she would baby sit him when I do.

Omg not at all!! My close friend I grew up with had her son when she was really young. It was hard for her but she decided to finish high school, go to college and get a career. So she felt the same like she was neglecting him but she wasn’t & it paid off because she’s a single mom, 21 she has her associates degree with a pretty good paying job. She still is going for her bachelors degree but she was able to save up a ton of money and move out and get herself a little place of her own for her and her son so it paid off!! It might suck right now but think what you’re doing for yourself and your son will be much better in the long term ❤️

No you’re not neglecting him by going to both work and school. Lots of people work full time and go to school, when you have a child though a job with benefits is priority so if that means cutting school hours in order to work full time then that is what you have to do.
