Working past my due date?

So my due date was yesterday and to no surprise my little guy still isn't here. 😭 I was having pretty consistent contractions all day yesterday too and even had my bloody show. Honestly really thought that something was gonna happen last night but after I accidentally fell asleep and woke back up all of my labor symptoms were gone. I am scheduled to work again today but it is also kind of my choice whether or not I go in. Would you ladies still go to work? I work in a hot kitchen and would be on my feet all day and no lie I'm kind of over working at this point but at the same time I don't wanna miss a day just in case he decides not to come again. I hate playing the waiting game😟 Advice?

Honestly hell no. I was so worried about going past my due date because I was so miserable and didn't want to have to work one more day! And I work at a desk job! Unless you feel up to it. Its really up to you and how you're feeling!

I am scheduled until my due date (this coming Thursday. If I don’t have her by then and it doesn’t look like I will, I plan to to ask the facilitators if I can be added into the schedule the following week. Otherwise my maternity leave time will be wasted. I want every day I can get with my little girl!

My due date is the 26th and I’m scheduled to work until the 29th! I’m upset about it, I really wanted to work until I went into labor 😮

At some point you need to consider your physical and mental well being over the paycheck. I think is totally amazing you have been able to work in a hot kitchen until your due date! But your body will need rest before labor, hun. I’d say if you feel good then go for it, but it seems like you’re tired and to me, it’s not worth it.

My due date was 6/21 and I’m continuing to work until the first sign of labor. Being a first-time mom, it could still be a week or more, and I want to preserve all my time off for when baby is here! Just trying to rest as much as possible, listening to relaxing music, reviewing my hypnobirthing book/tracks & Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth. When 5p rolls around, I’m tired, but my coworkers have cut me some slack and will continue to do so because they understand!
