Scheduled c section

Looking for feedback. I need to have a scheduled c section with this baby because I had a c section 4 years ago with my son. My question is about milk production. Does your body know what to do and it just happens? I know it did with my son but that was not until among the next day since I was under general anesthesia. Also, what's the recovery time for you for the second c section? Please share moms!
