Question! Landlord problems

Harmony

So my husband and I have been living in an apartment for almost 6 months. We don’t always but sometimes have friends come and stay the night for a couple nights like on the weekends or my grandma when she comes and visits. Well the other night my little cousins who is 8 asked to stay the night so my husband and I let her for the weekend. She did get loud and was stomping and we had to keep yelling at her to stop and she got in trouble for it. Well today our landlord showed up and told us we’re not allowed to have friends over or family come stay that visits anymore or he’ll kick us out. We’ve never had a problem before until now when she was being too loud. Can he tell us that we can’t have family and friends over???

Then my other cousin literally just started staying with us a couple days ago because she’s a teen and just got her first summer job which is right down the road from our apartment and her family lives too far outta town to drive to it everyday and her mom asked us if we’d let her stay throughout the week and she come home on weekends so she will be able to walk to work. She goes back to school in the beginning of August so we didn’t think it was a big deal for her just to stay until August starts.

We don’t want to tell her she has to leave because she literally never does anything and always just goes to work and comes home and stays in her room and she helps pay for her own stuff.

Our landlord asked about it and we told him the truth because there’s no point in lying I thought, and he said she has to go and no one else is allowed over, not even to visit. Can he do that even if we pay rent and utilities? The only thing we don’t pay is water.
