Traveling with 17 month old

Hi All - In September my husband and I are traveling with our daughter who will be 17 months at the time, we’re taking an airplane to Disney. Right now we have her a lap infant on the flight itinerary but I’m worried about being able to hang on to her since she’s extremely mobile and running around like a mad woman already. I have a baby carrier but you can’t use it during take off and landing and I’m just worried if we hit any turbulence that I’ll drop her or something with happen. My husband says she will be fine, typical daddy always looking to save pennies! Am I being dramatic? Who else has travelled with busy babies on their laps and done just fine?
