Sono or No?

So im 19 days late. Still bfn. Bloodwork is taking forever and its day 55 of my cycle. My md gave me a referral for a transv sono and bloodwork that Im supposed to use AFTER my period comes. To check for pco. But my period isnt here and idk what's going on.

He wants me to take a pill that will force my period to come but i dont trust these tests. I trust my body and i think I might be preggo. My mom had bfns at 3 mo preg. Bloodwork included. I wanna use the referral for my sono to see whether I am pregnant. Should I wait or just use it and stop wondering?
