When did your boy talk (more then like 1 word)...

Question

Ok, so I’ve got a question when did your babies start talking? 
My daughter did EVERYTHING early, 7 mo crawling, 11 months solid walking, saying lots and lots of words early on. 
My son? Totally different story. I know boys just do things different, totally get that. He also had a cranial correction helmet which delayed his motor skills but he’s pretty caught up. I think he will be walking here soon! He’s super strong. 
But his speech is worrying me a little. For a minute he said mom and dad. But now he only really says dad. Well da or dada. He can point to him and sister if he wants to, he’s maybe said wa a few times for water. He can sign more but doesn’t care about learning any other signs I think. 
Think it’s just him and he will come around in his own time? When did your kiddos talk?

My son said odd sounds and dadda, but didn’t exactly talk until long after his 2nd birthday. Our ped wasn’t concerned because he could point at things and could follow commands (go get the blue book, etc), demonstrating his understanding of language. He is 2 y 8 months now and can really converse, count, knows all colors, abcs, animal sounds etc.

My son only knew like 5 words at 2. We had him evaluated for autism. We got him into speech therapy. By far the best thing we have done for him.

I don't have a son but my daughter didn't walk until almost 17 months old and although she seems to be saying new words every day, she still only says one word at a time (she's going to be 28 months on July 3rd). She is completely healthy and super smart (she understands more than I ever expect her to) and she draws like a 4-5 yr old! 
Every child has their own pace for each thing. It's not about the gender or the birth order... They all learn what they want when they want.

My first son started talking at 15 months, 2nd son not until he turned 3, and that was because my 3rd son started talking (he was a year old). Now they are 3 and almost 5 and my 3 year old talks clearer and says more than my almost 5 year old. The almost 5 year old is in speech therapy and is getting better and better saying his words more clearly.

My sons first word was guitar around 6 or 7 months. He was early with everything too and is a phenomenal talker. Hes almost 3 now but every kid is differant and I wouldn't worry too much about it.
