Did you love yourself when you started dating for first time.

Everyone says you can only date/be in a serious relationship if you love yourself, which I think is total bull.

Answer

You can date when you don’t love yourself, it’s not that you “can’t”. 
If you don’t love yourself, you are insecure, have a low self esteem, and have a lot of things you need to work out within yourself that no one else can. You must take responsibility for yourself. I am doing this while in a relationship, but I have an understanding that he won’t fix me or make me feel loved. That’s not his job, it’s mine. A lot of issues stem from not loving yourself while in a relationship, because unless you are aware you will constantly be using things outside yourself to feel peace/love/joy. Including your boyfriend. So it is better when you’re not aware of your issues yet, to stay single and get to know yourself better.

lol no. i didn’t even love myself this last time i was dating & he knew that, we’re still together 2 years later and he’s taught me all the bad parts of me are beautiful and he’s proud of who i am. 
sometimes when someone doesn’t think they’re great .. someone else comes along and helps them realize it ❤️

No I learned to love myself. My now husband adored me and taught me that it was okay not to be perfect.
