Dog or Child?
Here’s the scenario.
You’re extremely pregnant and home alone with your toddler and your dog gets out. He runs 3 houses down, and shows no signs of stopping. It’s raining, and you don’t have a car. You live on a very busy road and know the dog could possibly end up hit if you don’t get him home.
Do you:
A- stay home with your toddler and hope he comes back.
B- leave your toddler home alone for who knows how long and chase after the dog.
C- get the toddler dressed and take her out in the rain for who knows how long and chase after the dog.
In this scenario, the dog IS highly trained and usually would never get out and run like this, but today he decided to forget all training apparently.
Note: yes my dog is fine, my neighbor brought him back and then proceeded to chew me out because he thinks I should have done option B 🤷🏻♀️ personally, I love my dog, but I couldn’t validate leaving Lili or dragging her out when I know the dog could out run me and me chasing him would just make him run further.
