Why did you become a SAHM?

I’m just curious. Was it for personal reasons? Financial? Etc.

I made the choice to go back to work full time after my son was born and I didn’t have too at the time because my husband made enough money to keep us financially secure. Now, my son is 17 months and I’m starting to realize that I want another child soon and our daycare costs will be outrageous for two small children. Plus, I am just not feeling satisfied in my career anymore (i had to switch jobs to something with better hours for my family) and now I actually want to be a SAHM and to be able to spend more time with my son plus get prepared for a new baby. But now, we would not be financially well off if i quit my job. It would be a struggle for us and I’m just not sure what to do in this position. My main thought is to keep working full time and hope that my husband gets a raise or finds a higher paying job and then we can try for another baby once that is in place. I just don’t know how long that will take 😥 it’s definitely hard trying to plan a family and work around your jobs and finances.
