I’m jealous and it making me mean.

Li

My co worker in my department is pregnant and I am very close to telling her off.

I’ve actually been very supportive of her being pregnant because it’s a beautiful moment to be experiencing but of recent she has been complaining about pregnancy and “milking” the high risk pregnancy she has for numerous breaks and literally not doing her job.

We work in a fresh cut produce department in a grocery store. It’s a fairly easy job and the heavy lifting was already stopped when she announced her pregnancy. Therefore she has already been given literally all the easy tasks and production that a ten year old could do. In other words she’s making a easy job hard for the rest of us.

I was pregnant before she was hired and lost my baby at 9/10 weeks. I never took extra breaks or slowed down on my production. She is supposedly 15 weeks and is constantly vomiting and complaining of pains and sitting down all the time while the rest of us works. She has been doing this since she was 7 weeks. The last 3 weeks my anger and feelings have been getting more mean.

It sucks that she is being paid to work 8 hours and isn’t doing the work.

On top of that drama the constant complaining of her pregnancy is killing me. In my mind i know she has every right to voice HER opinions on HER pregnancy. I also know not everyone has easy pregnancies and some even vomit the whole time. I know this and I’m trying to be emphatic to her and I have been but I just can’t anymore. It’s not fair because I honestly would take all her vomiting away and give it to me if it meant I was going to be delivering a healthy baby in 2 months.

I handled my miscarriage fairly well in the beginning but it was because I was bottling it up. It’s slowly been coming out and with my due date coming up soon and her complaints and shitty work I’m about to crack.

I need advice? Am I being too mean? Is this normal feelings of jealousy? What should I do to get over myself?
