1 kid vs. 2 kids (or more)

So my husband and I have 1 daughter. She’s 3. I have always wanted a big family, while my husband only wanted 1 child, a daughter, which he got! So he was done! ( mind you he’s an only child and I have 2 siblings)

We did eventually decide we would try for another kid which ended with miscarriages. I was heartbroken and so scared to ever even think about trying again.

Now my precious daughter tells me she wants someone to play with like a sister and brother (apparently she wants both lol) it’s broke my heart because she loves kids adores babies so I know she would be the best sister ever.

Bottom line is I’m scared to try again. I would love to have a sibling for my child and another baby in my life. But now I’m weighing everything. So tell me. Pros and cons to having 1 child vs 2 kids or more. My husband thinks we will never have alone time and our marriage will be lost basically.
