Does my daughter(18m) have a problem?

So I had a playdate today. There were 2.5 years d,2 years old, 20months old and 18 months old(my daughter) 
Kids were playing together nicely at playarea but my daughter did not play with them. Instead she went to the area she wants to go and she showed no interest into her friends.
I’m sad and worried. I thought she was going to be more friendly by now.
At home, she likes playing with me and my husband but I started wondering if she has a problem in social setting???

I don’t think this is out of the ordinary. My daughter is almost 21mo and she plays alongside kids, but doesn’t necessarily play with them. She’ll play with some kids if they show interest (& usually if they are much older, like 6yo+), but even then she gets tired of the attention and wants some alone time. I haven’t thought twice about that being weird🤷🏼‍♀️

Maybe that's just her personality but at this age you shouldn't worry. My son has always been extremely social and we run into kids of all ages that want nothing to do with him or anyone else. Some kids don't want to play with others that they don't know very well, while some love strangers from the beginning. If you still worry chat with your pediatrician, I always do that for every little thing.

Is she in daycare or does she spend time around other kids? Had she met these kids before? My daughter is the same age and she goes to daycare. But when we have play dates with her cousins or my friends and their kids she doesn't always interact with them a lot. I just feel like it's an age where it's hard to "play with" other kids and she's more interested in figuring out the environment. Good socialization is key, there's a difference between playing with adults and peers. So I'm thinking it might be normal but I'd bring it up with her doctor and look up social milestones for her age! ❤️
