Military discount?

Agree or disagree...it is WRONG to use a military discount if you have not served.

I’m assuming you’re referring to spouses. 
My view is if they offer, take it 🤷‍♀️ it’s at the companies discretion. so if they choose to offer it to spouses I’m not going to argue. when I’m out and I’m asked if I’m military i always state my husband is. I’d feel weird ever asking though.

How would you use a military discount if you haven’t served? They always ask for ID to make sure you’re not just cheating their systems

At the commissary at our current base, the workers always thank the family members for their service too. Yes we are not deployed and fighting, but we sacrifice as well for our soldiers. I know many people will have opinions on this and that's totally fine. Just letting you know how it is here at our current duty station.

Jesus Christ. This reminds me of the time I was at Kate spade with my husband (marine) and this lady in front of us was demanding a military discount, I never wanted to slap someone as much as I did there.

My husband went off and asks if she ever went to boot camp or been deployed or earned a rank. 
She left so fast.

are you talking about spouses or just randomly claiming you're a veteran? because in my town, spouses are always offered military discounts as well

I’m a Navy veteran and if you didn’t serve you don’t deserve to use anything for military/veterans.PERIOD.

My husband is currently active and I will ask if it’s provided...spouses go through just as much. We deserve it

I believe immediate family should be able to, but nothing outside of that.
