Newborn hearing screening

My little rainbow boy was born yesterday after a quick delivery. Water broke at 3:30pm & he was born at 8:45pm after 15 minutes of pushing. They first did the screening test while he was sleeping on me but there was noise in the room & he kept waking up. The second time the nurse took him out of the room to do the test. Neither time he passed but the nurse wasn’t too concerned & said with a fast labor they sometimes retain fluid in their ears... wondering if anyone else’s baby didn’t pass but ended up with no hearing issues? Thanks for any advice!
