Why is she clamping??????

Question

My LO is just over 4 months old and is going through the sleep regression and over the last week or so has started clamping down while nursing. Her teeth aren’t in yet but randomly she’ll just clamp down before resuming to nurse.
Why????
What can I do??
Please someone tell me they went through the same thing? 😩

My 15 week old did this for about 2 days straight last week. I honestly considered stopping breastfeeding. My husband gave her a formula bottle on the dreamfeed the second night because I couldn't take it. After that she stopped. I don't know if she thought "oh no I dont want formula! I won't bite anymore!" 😂 Or what but now we are both happy back to breastfeeding. 😀

My daughter started doing it one day next thing I  knew she had teeth. I Didn't know she was teething.
Once they came through she kept up with the clamping down or biting as it's know with teeth 😨 so I had to teach her not to bite.

Why is she clamping??????
