Insane Bills

$6,583 - the hospital bill from having my baby...after insurance. How in the world are they allowed to charge such astronomical amounts!?! It’s for only 48 hours of care! It was for a standard vaginal delivery, not a C-section! I feel like each time a person walks into a doctors office or hospital it’s like playing a backwards lottery or a terrible gameshow called ‘spin-a-backbreaking-debt’. 😥😢😭 For my job, I was allowed 6-weeks of unpaid disability leave. That’s 8-weeks before a paycheck comes in again. I explained this to the doctors, but they are already sending money-due letters before I start having an income again. I feel so overwhelmed.
