No naps for 2 yr old?

Question

I can't get my sin to sleep at night. He used to go to bed, no problem at 8-830 every night.... Now I can barely get him to sleep at 10pm. He screams at his door, turns the light on in his room and rips his room apart. Naps haven't changed. Sleeps 1.5-2 hours during the day. Usually around 12pm. Is he too young to stop needing naps? Sorry if it's. A dumb question.. My first child lol also he does not sleep through the night

I gave my daughter "quiet time" in her room for a couple hours instead of making her nap (she was just over 2 years). Sometimes she would fall asleep but most of the time, she would just play! She never has trouble going to sleep because she's had such a long day. Starting bed time routine like an hour before you want her to go to sleep is a good idea too!

My daughter stopped taking naps at 3 and slept from 10p-9a. Then she started preschool last month and had to wake up at 7 and has very busy days, so now she naps daily again and then sleeps from 9-7 as well. It all depends on your child. Try a couple of different schedules until you find one that works for you.

Some babies stop super early, some stop at 2, some at 4. Some are never big nappers. Start cutting his nap shorter snd shorter maybe?

My dad used to make me nap until I was like 5. He would lay next to me & say whoever could stay awake the longest could get up & play, & apparently I always lost.

Or he would put me in the car seat & go for a drive. Car rides knocked me out.

Mine still had to nap at 4 1/2 or he's a terror. Everyone is different for sure. When he doesn't nap he goes to bed super early!

According to the pediatrician they need to sleep. My daughter was the same at night until we started a bed routine, got her some fun books to read from Costco and we let her sit down while we read it and after we prayed together and she went to sleep happy. If you don't pray maybe come up with something fun, like ask him what he did during the day idk. But be persistent, it takes time but eventually it will be good. Everything is a phase. Just remember that you are the mom and you are in charge! Good luck!

2yr is when the naps disappear or shorten a lot! Maybe try waking him up from nap after 1hr or 30 min and see if it helps with bed time . If it doesn't then maybe Napa to go . I'm sorry. :(

My son is 3 and still does a nap around lunch time. At bedtime he used to stay up later and later and it turned out he was just getting more and more over tired. Try starting bedtime at 700. Lay in his bed with him and start reading books. This worked for my son and by 730 or 800 he was out cold, when before he'd be up Wil 9-10. Turned out just giving him that time to settle did wonders. I recommend a longer book with pictures. So it takes a while to read.

My son stopped naps about the same age. If he was having a rough day and was really grouchy then he would have to nap but he usually did ok.
