uti or something else?

I am sexually active and I pee after sex. Recently my boyfriend and I have had some rough sex. But a few nights ago I experienced some burning and pain when I pee. I dont get the feeling like I have to go 24/7. And I did pee a few times and it didnt burn or burn as bad. Could this be because of the rough sex or am I getting a uti?

Try drinking a ton of real cranberry juice over the next few days and if that doesn’t help then go to the doc because it’s certainly a UTI. Anecdotally, I have had this issue a few times after rough sex due to minor tears near the urethra. Try using coconut oil as lubricant next time! It smells good (and tastes good!) and it helps keep away UTIs because of its antibacterial properties!

Burning indicates tissue inflammation, so whether or not it's an infection yet, it can easily become one. I can usually tell within the hour of having sex if I've potentially incurred what may turn into a UTI because of the burning feeling most obvious right before I pee or having difficulty peeing, too. Stuff gets pushed around and shoved into your pee hole from obvious forces and that's why I recommend making it a habit to enjoy sex after an intimate shower. But not in the shower! It's a great bonding ritual and allows for some ample foreplay and togetherness before jumping on sex immediately. I have noticed a huge decrease in UTI flare ups since making this a habit with my partner. He likes to be clean and I appreciate that!

If the pain doesn’t go away in a few days, I think you should go to doctors, to get checked. Also you should be drinking lots of water and staying hydrated because that could be an indication of a change in urine.
