My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 yrs now, and he recently asked me if I wanted a threesome.... I don’t know how to feel about this. (he got this idea because one of his friends had a threesome with his girlfriend) why would he ask this. Is he not happy with just us? I’m confused.....

If you’re not completely 100% comfortable just say no you shouldn’t feel like you should do something so big like that just to keep or make a man happy..personally if it were me I’d tell him straight up why he’s having these ideas and if I’m not enough for him then we should go our separate ways(but that’s me)

If you have to question yourself if you’d be ok with it, the answer is no. Don’t do it. It has the potential to break your relationship. People have given in to their partners request, gotten hurt and weren’t able to look at them the same anymore. 
The only circumstance you should do these things is if you’re really interested in the first place and completely sure you want it.

It’s a male competition thing. All men have to be “the best.” My bf keeps pushing for one, which has made me increasingly uncomfortable with the idea, and when I asked him why, he told me so that he can one-up his cousins. I explain to him why I don’t want to and he kind of just laughs it off but mentions it like every other week.. the only thing I could think of was maybe spicing up our sex life, which is what I did, and he hasn’t talked about it for a while now.. maybe just do something different in bed.. worked for me. If you’re not comfortable then just tell him no. It’s a fantasy for a lot of guys and if his friend did it it’s probably an ego competitive thing more than anything. He’ll get over it lol 
But if you might be interested in doing it, the most basic ground rule is that you get to pick the other girl. Be sure to set a lot of boundaries on what you guys are comfortable with. Is he gonna have PinV sex with both of you?? Like that kind of stuff. 
Personally I would never be comfortable with it, but if you are, then be here to seriously talk about everything with it so you both are totally comfortable and happy.
