My pups first Heat!

Hey there ladies and gentlemen, my pup is 7 months and she got her first period yesterday and I had to buy a diaper so she could still walk freely in the house and use the couch. She is taking the diaper very well, how long has your pups “bleeding” lasted? Or did you notice any blood? She is a bigger breed so I’ve heard they “bleed” quite a lot, any input on that?

Edit 1: we plan on getting her fixed, we love her but right now we can’t afford to get it done.. I was just asking if any others had input on how long the bleeding process is.

Edit 2: like I said in the first edit....WE PLAN ON GETTING HER FIXED! WE JUST DONT HAVE THE MONEY RIGHT NOW! Plus I think I’m a pretty responsible owner, she’s never outside by herself, she’s always with me, or in her kennel when we’re away and I feel like getting a female dog fixed before she’s had her first heat or second for that matter, really takes away what is supposed to naturally happen. (Now don’t be coming after me for saying that, cuz everyone has their own opinions!) I’m a very cautious person/owner and have owned dogs in the past, so I think I know what I’m doing. Speaking of having had dogs before, our old dog never got fixed and she had a litter of puppies and to this day (she’s 11) she’s never gotten sick or cancer cuz of not being fixed...now I think that says something. (Yes I know I’m all over the place but I know what I’m talking about!)
