When at home monitoring BP are you suppose to be checking for a consistency high or ? And if you get a high number do you wait a few check again and if normal pay no mind? I'll get highs but itll go down in 10 minutes. So idk if should go in and be checke

I check mine 2x back to back and average the two readings together to make sure the reading is as accurate as possible. My doc said call if over 150/100 (even if just one of the numbers is above). Luckily it’s never been that high at home but if it were, I’d call immediately.

I get wildly different numbers each time, even if I check it back to back. Not sure what I'm doing wrong!

I have to check mine 4x daily and call in if it’s over 160/100, either number. If I get a number higher than my normal range I have some water, lay on my left side in front of the air conditioner and recheck 30 minutes later. It’s gone down to normal every time, it seems I was just over exerting myself however if I took it again and it hadn’t gone down I would call my doctor and proceed from there.

I check my pressure once a day, per the NP and Dr. They said to make sure I had been resting for a few minutes before checking it. They also said to make sure it was at different time of the day everyday. If you’re getting high numbers I would call and the office to just see what they say.
