No buying Christmas presents

My mother in law made a comment about how she already got 23 toys for our baby for Christmas!?.... literally as parents we aren’t even buying her anything because one she is six months in December. And two she probably won’t play with it all ever. I’m thinking about telling them no more than 4 presents and for years to come same thing or to buy tickets is passed to go towards experiences because there is no use in buying junk that I will have to donate.
