I need a little advice

So I’m 18 n never been in a relationship.

I start talking w this guy I met online and we really hit it off. We stay up each night watching movies and talking on the phone. He says he’s never liked anyone this fast before especially someone from online. And I like him to although idk if it’s him or the thought of actually having a bf.

Anyway yesterday he seemed a little different. Like he was kind of picking on me and being a little mean but he said he was joking.

It’s hard to tell what it actually is cuz it’s through texting and calling. But I just get the vibe he might be sorta an asshole irl. But besides yesterday he’s been really really sweet and nice so idk if he was just having a bad day or what it was.

And ever since I told him I was worried I’d get too many feeling for him, he seems to of pulled back a little even though he reassure me it would be okay at the time.

Sorry if this is confusing. Just FYI , I really like talking w him and everything but Ik realistically it won’t turn into a relationship cuz he lives in the UK and I’m in the US. It just still kind of hurts cuz I get attached easily and again, never had a relationship before. So that’s why I’m even more nervous cuz I’m already like this and it’s only been a few weeks. Idk what I’ll be like in a couple months and I don’t want to get hurt.

Also before he started to seem a little more distant, you could tell his feelings for me were more than what I had for him. He even told me that and how he really really liked me but was scared he’d fall for me and get hurt. Idk if it’s still true now or what.

Also he doesn’t pressure me into sending nudes or anything so that’s the thing that surprises me the most. Like he’s very careful about that type of thing and says he wants me to be comfortable w it
